Believers and Non-Believers

Unplanned Destination

Listen to me, believers and sinners alike. If you begin down the road of sin you will come out at a destination you never expected.

I have spoken to criminals, many a person who wondered how they arrived where they are. They started out not as a criminal, but as an ordinary person, with little difference from you or I.

Many a man and woman alike, whether an embezzler, or a murderer, shoplifter or rapist, have I asked, “Whatever came over you to cause you to commit these crimes?” Their answer is that they never dreamed they would do such a thing, it was not what they had planned for their life’s path.

You see, the whore never intended to become a whore when she went along with a guy she barely knew and allowed him to pursue his sinful desires.

You see, the man never intended to be a whore-monger, a sexual predator when he looked at a woman with lust and gave into her allure.

You see, the murderer never intended to be a murderer when he first allowed hate to become lodged in his heart.

Sin may have small beginnings but it has fearful endings. Lust may seem a long way from murder but we are told in James 1:15
Then when lust hath conceived, it brings forth sin; and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.”

King David started with a heart as pure as could be found, but his attention was drawn to Bath-Sheba and in the end it resulted in four deaths, fornication and rape.

Sin WILL end in death.

It starts with a personal conviction, but conviction and conscience change with circumstance, with your environment. Your environment dictates what you will tolerate. Tolerance becomes a virtue for those who have no conviction.

Again, sin WILL end in death.

I am asking you, pleading with you to turn to GOD. Get yourself right with Him. Give into the call to salvation, the call from the Holy Spirit for repentance, a true turning away from your sin, not just remorse, a sad feeling that you did wrong, but a pursuit of God’s Law and God’s Grace and a change of direction, a change of circumstance and a change of conviction.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
… Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Your Day of Judgment could be just a heart beat, a car accident, a slip and fall, a stray bullet in a shopping mall away. I beg you to get right with God. Turn to Him. Believe on His Son, Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
